Not Yet Awake is a common sight across Great Britain late summer as seed heads are forming for Autumn.
Seedheads are imprinted into clay and left to dry. Paint is added to give the impression of a vintage woodcut image. A unique and lasting piece of art that's a bit different.
Not Yet Awake is entirely created by hand, no machine work here.
Floating from a fabric background and mounted in a beech box frame to enhance the textures and depth.
A great gift as it can sit on a shelf, it also comes with a hook if you want to hang it on the wall.
Everything I make is inspired by nature, and the result maybe abstract or literal. I work with clay, fabric and thread, and found objects from the countryside and seashore.
Your purchase will be beautifully wrapped, and where possible, I use recycled packaging for the outer packing.
