I loved the tray cloth embroidered with pink daisies but, unfortunately, it was damaged so I decided to use some of it to make this needle case. I added a lot more of my own work: embroidery, beading, applique keeping to the pinks but adding the shades of green as a contrast. The lining is from an old table cloth a friend gave me. It is very damaged too, having seen a lot of use but there are still pieces of it I can use.

Full description
This is a very handy needle book for all sewers. It is made from a piece of vintage embroidery (probably a tray cloth)and some vintage lace from France. I have added my own embroidery,beadwork , applique and slow stitching. It is padded with organic cotton and the pages are made from felt, the lining is from an old tablecloth from Spain. The closure is a wrap around silk ribbon. It is all hand stitched and is totally unique. I try to recycle and repurpose fabric, beads, buttons etc as much as possible in my projects. The colours in reality are deeper than you can see here. Size: W: 3.5" x L:6" ( closed)
