I began making bookmarks during lockdown as a way of sending something ( ANYTHING!) to friends and family, simply to spread a little happiness in an otherwise awful time for us all.
The bookmark idea grew and grew. Eventually I decided to add messages to them. Birthday Greetings seemed an obvious choice, and were some of the first I made.
I have adored reading Jane Austen since I was 12 years old, and I have enjoyed making this series of bookmarks that celebrate her for you to enjoy.
I now have a range of very pretty, hand made bookmarks with many different messages to offer to you, and this bookmark is just one of them.

If you are ever in a quandary, Jane Austen often provides the answer and this bookmark helpfully reminds you that the correct question to ask is: What Would Jane Austen Do? She will not lead you far wrong!
This pretty ( and appropriate!) Regency striped design in pink, has a hand painted golden frame around the golden embossed message.
The bookmark has a pretty, antique gold-coloured faux silk tassel attached.
Please note this is not computer generated art nor is it printed. It is totally hand made: designed, painted, stamped and embossed by me for you. Each bookmark is made to order therefore may vary slightly from the one illustrated above.
The bookmark is 20 cms x 7 cms, and the reverse is left plain for you to add your own message. It is painted on 300 gsm cotton rag watercolour card.
Sustainable packaging is very important to me. Each bookmark comes supplied with a recycled Kraft envelope so that you can post it, and is protected by a recycled and compostable cello sleeve.
I use recyclable envelopes/boxes to post your bookmark to you. They are sealed using strong recyclable paper tape.
The price of each bookmark includes postage and packing to UK addresses only, using the Second Class Royal Mail service.
