I make Bookmarks with a Message

I have always painted. Even when I worked as a solicitor, weekends would find me painting away to keep the pressure of work at bay.

And I have always loved books (especially Jane Austen) so during lockdown it seemed only natural to paint and create bookmarks as a way of spreading some cheer in a very cheerless time for us all. Small and easily posted all over the country ( indeed to the rest of the world) they were a way of telling friends and family how much they meant to me. Gradually I began to add messages to the bookmarks and the idea has just blossomed.

I make the bookmarks in my studio at my home in Lincolnshire, assisted (or hindered!) by my Cat Without A Tail, Bob. If you are good I'll tell you all about him one day....my Instagram stories often feature his escapades!

When I'm not making bookmarks ( or reading) I love gardening, and roses are my favourite plants to grow. So you can see, a lot of my interests all collide when I'm creating a bookmark for you., which make them very special to me
