Full description
Handmade in my Nottingham studio, repurposing fabric shapes left over from previous projects.
The fabric shapes are hand painted in soft shades of green.
Each piece is carefully arranged into a collage until I'm happy with the layout and composition.
I then start to hand stitch intuitively and mindfully, allowing myself to be guided by the piece as to how and where I stitch; this creates interest and texture within the piece on both the shapes and in the negative spaces.
Small pieces of lace netting and buttons add an extra finishing touch.
The edges have been neatly bound and the back made of calico. There are also corner pockets on the top reverse side should you wish to use a dowel for hanging.
This piece of decorative textile art will add a touch of contemporary style to any interior with it's calming and gentle colours.
If the piece is to be hung, your own dowel, hanger, clips, or frame is required.
Measures: 19cm x 24cm.
Recommended Cleaning Instructions:
The piece is best cleaned by occasionally using a soft clean brush or lint remover to gently remove any surface dust. Do not wash.
Please Note: Colours may vary slightly to those shown due to different screen settings, but I do try to show as true representation as possible of the colours in the images.
