I gift wrap all of my journals before I post them out. I'm always happy to post direct to the lucky recipient and will include a personal message from you, if you'd like me to. Just leave me a note with your order. What could be nicer than receiving a one of a kind gift through the post!
* free gift wrapping
* one of a kind
* eco-conscious gift
* can send direct to recipient
The cartridge paper for the pages is recycled, mostly from old paper cups, and it’s all hand torn or cut to size. The paper is 140gsm and because it is recycled, it has a slight texture, which makes it perfect for journaling or sketching. I always write with a fountain pen and the paper is wonderful for that.
So, you see, it really is Earth-friendly all the way!
This book is unique and made entirely by hand.
I offer all these perks with ALL of my hand bound journals ...
- free gift wrapping
- one of a kind
- eco-conscious gift
- can send direct to recipient

Full description
This is the Perfect Earth-Friendly Journal, created with flowers, sunshine and recycled paper.
I created this gorgeous journal because I really do believe your words are worth it!
The covers are original cyanotype prints, which is an Eco-friendly art form.
The subjects for my artwork are wildflowers or flowers from my garden, which Nature produces for me in abundance!
And I use the sun to develop the prints … as an energy source, you can’t get more sustainable than that!
The covers feature Black-Eyed Susan Daisies from my English country garden.
I used salt in the wet cyanotype developing process, because this gives a wonderful crystalising effect. I also used sprinkles of gold and Tumultuous Tides turquoise inks in the development process.
To create the cover prints I used Hahnemuhle Buggra Bütten Brina paper with a pale blue fleck.
The inside covers are made using a natural Nepalese Lokta Paper.
The book is stitched together with Williamsburg Blue Irish Linen waxed thread. This is the best kind of thread to use for bookbinding, because it doesn’t stretch, meaning that the book stays firmly bound, no matter how often you open and close it.
The Coptic binding means that the book will lie completely flat when opened, making it perfect for journaling or sketching.
For this journal I have used cyanotype print spine wraps, which look beautiful when your book is standing on a shelf.
This is not just a unique journal, it’s a work of art.
