Welcome to Janiemade and my little corner of Folksy where you can buy my crocheted creations. If you're looking for skilfully handmade gifts and home decor I hope you'll find something you love. I enjoy crocheting with natural fibres, mainly cotton, and many of my home decor items use recycled braided cotton cord or recycled cotton T shirt yarn. All items are ready to post and I only charge postage on your first item. Your order will be sent by Royal Mail 2nd class post.

I love the creativity of crochet and I am interested in exploring shape and form in this artwork. I have crocheted lots of 'barnacles' so may create similar pieces in the future. However, no two will be exactly the same as they are created without a pattern so each is unique.

Full description
Small, square crochet artwork that can be hung on a wall or displayed on a shelf. I love experimenting with the possibilities of crochet and this is an example of how stitches can be shaped into spheres that resemble barnacles. Each sphere was created separately then sewn carefully into place onto the dark grey felt background before securing in the white vinyl and MDF frame. The frame has no glass so the tactile nature of the artwork may also be enjoyed (with clean hands of course!).
The artwork measures 9cm x 9cm. The chunky, square frame measures 12cm x 12cm from edge to edge, with each side measuring 1.5cm across. The frame has a depth front to back of 3cm, the bottom edge is flat so the frame is freestanding or it can be wall hung with the metal hook on the back.
