My friend on a neighbouring croft have a small flock of lovingly cared for pet alpaca. I feel so lucky that they love my weaving and in exchange for rugs, they give me the fibre to make beautiful things from.

Full description
Beautifully soft, the fibre for this Alpaca rug was carefully hand washed, hand spun and then woven on my beautiful vintage floor loom. It came from the croft over the hill from my home here in the far north Scottish highlands. I use an organic cotton warp, sustainably sourced. It would surely look stunning in any room. Almost pure black with silver highlights.
