Full description
Trees have long been associated with the wisdom of ages throughout fantasy literature. They are often portrayed with faces and characters, and if you look carefully, many trees appear to have faces in their knots and bark, or the shapes of mythical creatures like dragons and dancing ladies.
This beautiful red and white tree is inspired by those special trees. It would look lovely in your home all year round, reminding you that the world is beautiful, and that not everything is as it seems.
This miniature has been lovingly hand crafted by wrapping and sculpting wool over a wire frame. I have also sewn a few beads to the branches. The eyes are clear plastic eyes, with a little red wool needled in behind them to give the suggestion of colour. The branches can be posed how you like, as indicated in a couple of the pictures above.
This tree measures approximately 16 cm (6 inches) tall.
The wool in all of my sculptures has been ethically sourced, mostly from local shepherds and farmers.
My ornaments are made for decorative purposes only. This miniature contains wires and small parts and should therefore be kept out of reach of children and animals..
