My moths are inspired by the scarlet tiger moths that visit our garden every June, usually arriving on Midsummer's Eve and continuing to flutter around the garden in the early evening throughout July and August. The tiny copper heart is inspired by the orange heart-shaped markings on their top wings which you can see when they are at rest.

Full description
This pretty moth pendant inspired by the scarlet tiger moths that visit our garden in summer.
Each moth is drawn by hand before being cut out from 100% recycled sterling silver sheet using a jeweller's saw. Tiny antennae, forged from recycled sterling silver wire, and a hand-cut copper heart are soldered to the body. The wings are hammered to create texture and the whole piece is polished by hand using a brass brush, which builds up lots of tiny scratches which gives the silver a soft glow rather than a high shine.
Each moth is given its own unique character with differences in the wing textures and the shape of the antennae. You will receive the one pictured.
Moth - approx 20mm x 34 mm at widest and longest points (to top of antennae)
Chain - 18 inch chain sterling silver belcher chain supplied, or choose a longer length from the orange options button if preferred.
The silver I use is 100% recycled scrap silver obtained from the jewellery trade and IT and medical sectors. It is an excellent choice for the eco conscious as it avoids unnecessary mining.
Your pendant will be posted first class and presented in eco-friendly packaging.
