Full description
The traditional welsh cake is made similarly to a scone but is cooked on a bakestone, sometimes known as a planc. Originally the bakestone was made of thick slate or soapstone that could be placed directly on a fire, but since the 19th century bakestones have been made of steel or cast iron.
This miniature 1:12 scale bakestone is modelled on a cast iron one and has six welsh cakes freshly baked on it so that your little people can enjoy a traditional welsh teatime snack.
The bakestone and welsh cakes are made of polymer clay with painted details. The welsh cakes are glued in place. Please note this is a collectible and not intended as a child's toy.
