I made a close-up bluebell mosaic which I really enjoyed and thought I would try a wider woodland view. It is quite a different approach, making the design more abstract and letting the eye fill in the blanks. I played with different shapes for each element to give the piece movement. I hope you like it.

Full description
This unique floral art is created in mosaic. It features a springtime woodland view with hints of bluebells growing beneath the tree trunks. The trees are created with vertical pieces of tessera in shades of brown and grey and a trail of blue meanders through a carpet of green leaves. I tried to create a light and delicate effect and a sense of a springtime walk. This piece has gunmetal grey grout and is framed with a row of dark, sage green tiles.
I use beautiful Winckelmans tiles which are matt ceramic and come in soft muted tones. I hand cut each piece of tessera to create intricate images inspired by nature. The mosaic is mounted on a wooden canvas and the sides are part tiled to frame the plaque and give depth and is complete with hanging wire.
Measures approximately 16 cm x 22cm x 2.5cm
Due to the wooden frame, this art is suitable for display indoors only.
Each wall plaque is one of a kind but I am able to make more in a similar colour palette on request. I am also open to commission, just contact me for a chat.
