Full description
This piece was a prototype for one of my Scottish made to order designs and is definitely less than perfect. It is made with clear quartz of unknown origin, and so is included in my Bargain Corner collection.
I have stamped the inside of the shield with the Algiz rune for protection, and have added some words from an ancient blessing, keep the light within, to the rim.
Clear quartz may have been the original birthstone for Scorpio and October but is perhaps better known as an alternative for April. It is also known as the planetary stone for Leo and the traditional gift for the tenth anniversary.
Approximate dimensions – the pendant is about 16mm in diameter and 7mm deep. The chain is 1.5mm curb and the tag is a 7mm disc.
