Known as the mother of the zodiac signs and ruled by the moon, Cancer is associated with nurture, protection and intuition. Represented by the crab and ruled by the element of water, it is also intrinsically linked to the sea and symbolically emotional depths. With the moons influence on the sea directing the ebb and flow of the tides, Cancer is strongly connected to the natural cycles of life and the ability to maintain balance throughout its ups and downs. Since pearl is an appropriate and elegant combined representation of the moon and the sea, it is particularly effective when worn by Cancerians.

Full description
This necklace is from my old stock of non native gems. The pearl is of unknown origin and that is why it is in bargain corner.
This handmade one off piece is inspired by pearl's association with the moon and with the zodiac sign of Cancer. The cultured freshwater coin pearl is set in a broad bezel, embellished with hand stamped stars. On the reverse of the setting, I have hand pierced a crescent moon emitting rays of moonlight and stamped the astrological symbol for Cancer. The bezel has a pins at either side which is held by the outer hammered crescent, so that it can turn on it's axis, allowing you to display your pearl or your symbols as you choose. I have finished the piece with a large bale, hand stamped with stars.
The chain is a 1.5mm curb, made from recycled sterling silver in your chosen length and you can even add a personal message to the inside of your box.
Approximate dimensions – the pendant measures 27mm from top of the bale to bottom of setting and is about 23mm wide
