Full description
This handmade glass bead has been created using my favourite glass, silver saturated glass, that reacts in the flame to create unusual and unexpected reactions both to the flame and with the glass it has been melted onto.
In this case, the spots have reacted to give a warm golden effect, hints of pink, purple and yellow can be seen in swirls underneath the clear bumps of glass that encase the spots. The base bead is made with ivory coloured glass which has then been shaped in a graphite mould to be oval, before the design is carefully applied.
The bead is 19 x 22mm in size, being hung onto a venetian box chain, which is 18" in length, to give a pendant drop of around 50mm (2")

All my lampwork beads are digitally kiln annealed after shaping in the flame to give greater resilience and durability and once cooled I clean out the clay mandrel release thoroughly by hand reaming before I use them in my designs. The photos show the colour of the beads as accurately as possible, however, there could be slight variations in shade depending on your monitor. Remember that these are individually handcrafted so may have small imperfections or variations between each one, which makes each of my beads beautifully unique!
