The idea is to create something new from old, the finished piece isn't meant to be perfect. Instead, retain marks, stains and scratches, part of the original character of the ceramic. All Sterling Silver is either recycled or repurposed and may also have imperfections or scratches.
Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.

I love to photograph the everyday from different angles and try to notice things that might otherwise be missed.
Each card print is unique, one of a kind, produced from a photograph, scanned, adjusted and resized. Printed on 180gsm recycled Bristol board either using eco friendly ink or thermal ribbon which is re-used or recycled. The whole process is a creative experience, I never start out with a finished idea but instead allow the piece to naturally form.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Additional terms
Due to the nature of monochrome images and the use of the same card colour, some designs may look similar but every card is unique and signed.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

‘Ducks’
I love taking photographs of the environment, nature and urban. All sorts of shapes and textures, looking at things from different angles.
Cards by Shards is a collection of greetings cards created using scanned images of photographs I’ve taken on my walks.
Image shows a Mallard duck with her 5 ducklings and a male Mandarin duck on the banks of The River Tees, Barnard Castle May 2024. This is a popular spot for all birds to get fed and ducklings learn very quickly.
Made from A6 recycled cream 300 gsm card with a square picture window 6cm x 6cm. Each image is singular, printed on 180 gsm white Bristol Paper using recycled ink and non toxic eco friendly glue. Blank inside, Shards logo and recycle stamp on rear. Includes matching envelope.
Every card is individual, no repeats, one of a kind, signed and titled. Unique Eco Friendly gifts, keepsake cards.
Delivered in brown card postal wrap envelope made from recycled materials.
