I started raising money for Toybox on 25th August 2023, and to date £237.56 has been raised by my lovely Folksy customers, £180.06 of which was transferred to Toybox between 20/11/23 and 5/04/23.

A few years ago I bought a kit to make these from the Nottingham Beadshop. I loved the process of covering something with beadwork, and subsequently started designing my own patterns. This one is based on a Bargello needlepoint embroidery design.

Full description
If your collection of sewing needles includes longer tapestry or darning needles, then this extra-long needlecase is the ideal place to safely store them. It would also make an excellent gift for the hobbyist who uses straight needles in their work. The case is made of turned wood and I have decorated it in peyote beadwork: a vibrant design in shades of red, orange and yellow, using size 11 glass Delica beads.
The needlecase is 8.9cms (3.5 ins) long and 1.8cms (0.7 ins) in diameter. A few needles have been supplied inside the case.
Your needlecase will be posted First Class, wrapped in acid-free tissue paper in a sturdy cardboard postage box.
WHEN YOU BUY THIS ITEM £3 WILL BE DONATED TO TOYBOX, A CHARITY HELPING STREET CHILDREN ACROSS THE GLOBE. This amount is calculated by subtracting materials and admin costs from the price of the item. I do not charge for my time in making it.
