I love painting trees, and especially ones like these, full of colour.
These trees were painted from a picture taken on a bright autumn day at a friend’s house near Attleborough, Norfolk.
I was drawn to the softness around the trees and the beautiful blues,yellows and pinks in the sky.
The sharp light contrast strongly with the deep shadow on the other side of the trees and the foreground tree on the left, so dark, against the light sky behind.
How lucky is he? Wouldn’t we all like to have a wonderful vista like this to see every morning when we look out of the window?
