Bluefaced Leicester wool is sometimes known as the 'British Merino' as it's soft wool with beautiful lustre. This light wool warp was hand dyed in Wales (not by me, I'm no dyer) creating a unique pattern of colours which needed very little added to it so I've chosen a very plain (yet luxurious merino and silk mix) weft yarn

Full description
Hand woven wool and silk scarf or wrap in greens shading to strawberry pink with a contrasting lime green weave pattern. This is a soft fabric which would be cosy in winter but also light enough for a wrap on a cool Summer's evening
I wove this scarf on my rigid heddle loom using a light, Bluefaced Leicester wool warp (see below) that was hand dyed in Wales. I've paired the colourful warp with a bright lime green weft in a merino and silk mix. The twill design adds texture and pattern along the length of the scarf
Each of my handwoven pieces is finished with a sustainable cork label and will be packaged in a gift box.
The scarf contains Bluefaced Leicester Wool (warp) and 50% merino wool, 50% silk (weft) yarns, I suggest you handwash and dry it flat.
The scarf is a unique one off measuring 210cm long (including a 8cm fringe at each end) and approximately 26cm wide.
The 'warp' refers to the threads running up and down the length of the fabric. The 'weft' runs across the fabric, weaving in and out of the warp on the loom
