Pearl is the traditional birthstone for June and Gemini, the stone for the 30th wedding anniversary, and has been associated with love and marriage for thousands of years.
Pearls have been coveted by mankind for millennia and have many legends associated with them.
In ancient China pearls were believed to protect the wearer from fire - and fire-breathing dragons!
They are also commonly linked to purity and innocence, the moon, the Goddess Venus, tears shed by the gods, and the journey of the soul along the path of perfection.

Pink and mauve Freshwater Pearl drop earrings.
These Freshwater potato pearls are assorted sizes - the larger ones are approximately 5x8mm, the smaller ones are around 4mm.
They are in pretty pastel shades of pink, mauve and lilac.
The trio of smaller Pearls are highlighted with tiny 2mm sterling silver spacer beads.
The beads are threaded onto sterling silver pins and hung from sterling silver wires.
Delicate, light and summery, perfect for weddings, a 30th anniversary gift, June birthday present or as a thank you gift for your bridesmaid.
Handcrafted (by me!) in my home workshop in Devon, UK.
These earrings measure approximately 1.25 inches (3cm), excluding the wires.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
Price includes delivery within the UK.
