G'Day and welcome to my shop of jewellery delights! I'm taking a short break and my shop will re-open MONDAY 18 NOVEMBER, 2024.
LAST POSTING DATES: UK - 14 DEC; REST OF WORLD - 1 DEC. Please note, I'm happy to post items after these dates, but delivery speeds can be reduced due to large volume of Christmas post, so Royal Mail cannot guarantee delivery before Christmas.
Here you will find fabric and mixed media jewellery to suit all occasions - from gifts for science fans and tea drinkers to animal lovers and nature lovers!
Due to Royal Mail postage increases in October, I've upgraded all orders within the UK to UK Tracked 48 postage. Other Postage upgrades are available. Items sent overseas are International Standard post, which does not include tracking. Tracked International post is available to add to your order if required.

Celtic cultures believe the thistle symbolizes devotion, bravery, determination, and strength.

Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Due to hygiene reasons, these earrings cannot be returned once worn, unless faulty.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
The thistle – Scotland’s national flower – but this has a William Morris twist!
This fabric, called Double Bough, was originally design as a pattern for chintz in 1877 by Morris’ chief designers – John Henry Dearle. This gorgeous pattern features acanthus leaves and flowers including pinks (dianthus) chrysanthemums and of course these stunning thistles.
I’ve made a pair of 23mm flat back fabric covered button using two peach coloured thistles. I also added some polyester toy stuffing to create a nice dome to the buttons.
A 2.2cm FSC approved plywood disc has then been secured into the reverse of each button and I’ve simply sealed the wood with acrylic varnish to let the natural grain of the wood shine through.
I’ve teamed these cute earrings with gold plated stainless steel earring hooks with scroll detail, that have been attached to the earring with gold plated leaf shaped bails. Stainless steel is hypoallergenic and great for those with sensitive skin.
These earrings have a total drop length of 4.5cm and are light enough to wear all day.
These pretty thistle fabric button earrings will come to you safe and carefully packaged in a UK Made eco-friendly recycled kraft card jewellery box with brand logo on the top - perfect for gifting to a friend who loves thistles, Morris designs or naturalistic styles.
