Come share the beautiful world of zoologically correct, intricately detailed, sculpted birds.
Every bird, feather or leaf tells the story of an individual, species or family of birds, widening and strengthening our knowledge and personal connections to avian culture, honouring the native cultural heritage of birds and those avian globetrotters who discovered, painted or lived alongside them.
Hand-made using needlefelt techniques and incorporating ethically sourced natural materials, my birds, feathers and plants are made from plant and sheared animal fibres, contain no plastics at all and reflect my values of re-use first, recycle second and create as little waste as possible at each creative step. My footprint on this earth should be as light as the tiniest bird in my garden.
Each sculpture, tiny feather or full-sized real-life bird wool sculpture, is a unique art piece made to bring joy for a lifetime. As with all art, they should be handled with care and are intended for adult children only.
I feel deeply honoured when my birds are invited into your home.
My eldest son loves miniatures of all kinds and wanted a tiny bird as his house-warming present for a new flat. Not wanting to worry about it being lost due to its tiny size, he asked if it could be perched in something no bigger than a spice-jar. And so the tiny birds collection was born and remains one of my favourite things to make, as I now challenge myself to find a way to use all the space inside.

Who doesn't love Long-tailed Tits: tiny birds even at life-size, they look like bundles of fluff with an over-sized pendulous tail.
Made using natural Merino and Corriedale wools and needlefelting techniques, this miniature wool bird on a tiny 1: 4 scale is humorously posed inside his own simple scarlet birdhouse perch, artfully showing off hand-made and individually crafted wool wing and tail feathers and tiny wool yarn-wrapped wire claws.
A perfect small gift for a bird and nature lover, birder or that friend or family member who loves a quirky one-of-a-kind present, this fibre art work has been meticulously scaled down from life-size whilst keeping the essential characteristic plumage details of the species and the inner-being of these little avian bundles of fun. Perfectly safe enclosed in their tiny glass jar, they can sit on desk or shelf as a tiny feast for the eyes.
Delivered in its own re-purposed parcel tube, carefully nestled in recycled packing materials via Royal Mail tracked 48hr postage in the UK at no extra charge.
Inspired by plant and bird illustrators of the past, I aim to be zoologically representative with all my bird sculptures and botanically precise with any plants included as part of their scenic mounts.
