I have a passion for bumblebees and try to grow wild plants that will give them a source of nectar and pollen at any time of the year. Here we have common vetch, a member of the pea family being worked by bumblebees. Many types of bumblebees use this wildflower as a source of nectar so I encourage it in our garden.

Full description
A beautiful & original stained glass hanging depicting Bumblebees & Vetch for your window or porch.
This unique wild flower themed copper foiled panel has been handmade using traditional stained glass painting techniques.
Ideas for designs are dictated by the shape of the glass, native plants and the bumblebees they attract are prominent themes.
I enjoy drawing and painting from observation, which in turn translate into designs on glass.
Traditional stained glass paints are used, black pigment is used to trace the lines of the design onto the glass. Colour is applied using glass enamels painted onto the glass surface and fired.
Each piece can return to the kiln several times until the desired effect is achieved, this is a time honoured procedure.
Copper foil is the attached to the edges of the glass and tinned with solder, handmade copper wire hooks are added from which the piece can be hung.
The piece is not guaranteed as weather proof so it is best hung from a window or against a neural interior wall.
The diameter is approx 9cm.
This piece will be gift wrapped at no extra cost and would make a superb gift for a gardener or bee lover.
All pieces of Vanessa Hall Glass are lovingly made from my garden workshop in Devon UK.
NB Solder contains Lead & Tin, wash hands after handling.
