I am passionate about nature, plants and their pollinators are the main themes for my glass work.

I have always been interested in nature, as a child I loved to spot and identify plants and be inspired to draw them.
I knew early on in school that I wanted to go to Art College and be free to develop my own style.
After a stimulating Art Foundation Course specialising in Print, Jewellery and Ceramics I went on to study for a Degree in Architectural Stained Glass where I fell in love with colour and light.
I was inspired by the traditional painting techniques taught and this continues in my painting style today.
Our garden inspires me, we were fortunate to have a blank canvas so to speak ( apart from the brambles and ivy! ) which we have planted over the years to attract the local wildlife.
I am passionate about Bumblebees and try to have some source of pollen and nectar available throughout the year to support them.
My glass work reflects my connection and observations of the pollinators that grace our garden.
We are fortunate to have hedgehogs that visit our garden so these have been the most recent influence in my work.
I work from my garden workshop, listening to the birdsong and hum of the bees.
I make small domestic pieces for the house and garden and a range of unique jewellery to wear.
