This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A brand new design in 2023 and I think it is quite stunning and very special.
It is a striking 'picture' of a brown hare against a sunset background.
The picture is framed in clear glass with a pretty texture for good effect and then with a strengthening border of twisted wire.
The picture shows the hare sitting on a green mound above a golden sandy beach watching the setting sun. He is probably waiting for the moon to rise as all the other hare pictures I've seen have been of moon gazing hares. I dare to be different.
This is beautifully bright and cheerful and casts lovely colours when it hangs in the light of a window.
It measures 18cm x 15cm and hangs from a strong silvery chain which is securely attached at either side of the top.
My pieces are all unique. I use different shades and textures of glass to ensure that everything I make, even when to the same pattern, is different.
