This contemporary brooch has been designed and handmade by John in our workshop in Yorkshire. The technique used is an ancient Korean one called Keum boo, where 24-carat gold is fused to silver at a high temperature. John has scribed lines into the silver and punched various symbols, the inspiration being his love of ancient artefacts and found objects. The brooch features a lovely pale purple, 5mm faceted Amethyst gemstone, it measures 30mm in diameter and is slightly domed in shape. This handmade brooch has been finished with a clear, protective, anti-tarnish coating and comes in one of our branded gift boxes. We exhibit and sell our work through quality Craft/Design centres and Art galleries throughout the UK, through the Dazzle contemporary jewellery exhibitions and our website.
