Hi, I'm The Old Button - welcome to my shop and I hope you find lovely things that you would like to buy.
I post every day, using Royal Mail First Class for cards, and Track 24 for all other items, and I can post directly to the recipient - see my Upgrades listings. Dispatch times are currently 1-3 days for most of my makes, with a few taking longer as indicated in the item details.
In the busy run up to Christmas, I'm no longer taking commissions for my embroidered play scenes and my patchwork quilts, but I have gift voucher options. The last day for ordering my custom hand embroidered Christmas stockings and Child's Drawing Pictures is Monday 16th December. For all other items I will be open right up until Christmas week.
Family recipies handed down the generations. Welsh Cakes are sweet almost scone-like cakes cooked flat on a griddle, traditionally studded with raisins but I prefer mine plain. Bara Brith is a rich fruit cake, where the fruit is soaked overnight in liquid tea (no milk!) before mixing with the other cake ingredients.
Plus the Welsh flag colours of course....

A mini version of my Welsh High Tea inspired slow stitching bundle, these beautiful vintage and reclaimed fabrics and trims are ideal for a Christmas themed slow stitching or textile art project.
Ideal as a stocking filler or gift - I can post direct and the box fits through a letterbox.
The A5 box has over 30 vintage or salvaged fabric and haberdashery remnants - carefully selected from my own collection or sourced from local vintage shops and individual sellers. Due to their age, some pieces may have small marks or tears.
Each box varies includes pieces of

- crocheted tablecloth
- linen tablecloth with lace motif edge
