This is an original, two colour, jigsaw linoprint of a ryukin, hand cut and hand-printed in January 2024 as part of a limited run of only 12 prints.

The print area is approx 150x100mm. The image is printed on 300gsm Daler Rowney "The Langton" smooth watercolour paper, sized 228x150mm (9x6"). It is printed using Speedball Professional "Supergraphic black" oil-based ink, which provides a beautiful, flat finish, with a very pale warm grey shadow which adds depth to the image. Each print is signed, titled and numbered by the artist.

The print is also available with a custom mount, as shown in the images, which provides outside dimensions of 297x210mm, to fit standard A4 frames.

Due to this print being produced by hand, and due to the nature of the paper, each print may have slight variations in ink depth and finish, making each example of this original artwork unique.

Prints are carefully packaged in a biodegradable film bag with backing board, and delivered by Royal Mail Tracked 24 in a card-backed envelope.

Alabama was one of three fish I bought with my then-girlfriend, now wife, when we moved into our first house together. She was a red ryukin, almost triangular in shape and a rich bright orange, and outlived the other two by quite a margin, reaching around ten years old. This print is based on a photo of her taken right at the start.
