Full description

A vintage stainless steel teaspoon hand stamped with MAKE TEA AND MEND and a tiny heart. It's a plain 'old english' spoon, a little worn at the end, approx. 14cm long. This is an unusual piece for me as generally stainless steel is too hard for stamping by hand - I was delighted to find that this particular spoon was stamp-able! So for once there is no tarnish although there are wear marks. I'm guessing the date of manufacture is 1930s to 1940s.

If you like this block capital wartime style, there is a '1940s style spoons' collection in my shop where you can see more.

The black in the lettering is non-toxic, waterbased acrylic. Hand washing will make it last longer.
