My collection started as a child with an old button box and some vintage embroidery threads given to me by my late grandmother. Over the years I have collected many vintage and retro items (note I only cut into pieces that are too damaged or marked to be used in their original form) as well as a whole sewing room full of bits and pieces.
I decided I would use some of this collection to create curated boxes for the newly re-discovered art of slow stitching. Get yourself a cup of tea, and relax with a needle and thread.

Stunning bundle of vintage and reclaimed fabrics and trims for textile art, slow stitching projects and junk journaling. Inspired by the floral blue Laura Ashley print, the box includes pieces salvaged from an antique Welsh quilt, a cotton christening dress and hand crocheted tablecloth. Plus Yorkshire wool, ribbons, buttons and hand dyed yarns and more....
Would make a lovely gift for a crafting mum.
Some are antique/vintage/retro, either from my own collection, or sourced from local vintage shops and individual sellers. Others are surplus/offcuts from my patchwork quilting or costume making, or salvaged from pre-loved clothes or furnishings.
There are over 40 pieces, each carefully selected for textural and visual interest, all presented in a handy A4 cardboard storage box.
