Full description
This handsome hand crafted silver birch wood fountain pen is made in my studio by the coast on Sanday, Orkney . These trees are native to the UK, and the wood for this pen came from pruning waste from a former neighbours garden.
The cap and barrel have a gentle curved shape, with only a small variance in diameter, the widest points at the centre. The wood has a dark tan colour with subtle grain markings, giving it a lovely soft, gentle tone.
The gold plated tip, clip, centre band and top finial with black accents compliment the tan colour of the wood, and the gentle taper to the tip section makes this pen very easy to hold. The screw-syphon ink reservoir (accessed by unscrewing the lower section) makes refilling easy, and the gold and iridium nib has a smooth writing action.
The price includes post and packing.
