I was first inspired to hand carve a piece of slate as a pet memorial for some friends, when their cat Rosie sadly passed away. I then developed the idea to create a range of hand carved pet memorials and also animal celebrations in that style and this is one of those items.

Full description
A thoughtful gift for anyone that has lost a much loved Pug and would like to mark their passing with this hand carved slate garden stone ornament. Each heart shaped piece of slate is hand carved deeply in to the surface with the shape of a Pug, then a heart above it.

Slate colourdetail:
As a natural product, each piece of slate is completely unique. Each piece will follow the heart shape and colours in these images, however the surface and edges are all different, which adds to the unique charm of this memorial.
Back:
I will include soft small pads on the back, so that it should protect the surface behind it if suspended. It will also reduce the risk of any scratching to the surface should you place it outside and it gets moved in the wind etc.
Pendant sign:
I will use Jute twine and this will either be thinner double wrap or extra thick single, as per these images. I will generally allow arround 220-260mm of Jute twine between each hole. If you would like a longer piece, then please message me.
