Inspired by local landscapes and bitterly cold winter walks with the dog. All fibre is natural, and mostly handspun by either me or my mum. It is naturally slubby and joyfully wonky. I weave at home on a rigid heddle loom and this is my 7th shawl/scarf. I use a saori style method, where I work organically, imagining a sort of narrative, which can't be completely seen until it is cut off the loom. Weaving is a way for me to make wearable art that can be loved and treasured for years to come.
