Inspired by the profusion of brilliant, jewell-like hawthorn berries on the South Downs, Hawthorn Man is a representation of the Green Man or Foliate Head, which symbolically represents rebirth and the cycle of growth in myth and legend.

Full description
Ceramic Green Man/Foliate Head Hawthorn mask, all handmade and lovingly hand glazed by me. He has a matt glaze face made to look like woodgrain and highly glossy leaves and berries in contrast. Hawthorn Berry Man is one of a kind and created in earthenware clay, so he's an indoor sort of guy. Adorned with ribbons and with wire for hanging.
