Inspiration
I went through a phase of doing a few baby bird paintings. Naturally with my love of corvids a baby crow had to be included.
I used pen to draw the scratchy image and then went over this with a watercolour wash. I then added ink splashes which i drew out when still wet with the end of a feather to produce the spidery pattern.
