Inspiration
This little painting took a different direction during its making as sometimes my work does. I knew I wanted to do a bat that we have here in Shropshire. Sadly Horseshoe bats are in decline but are known to roost in old mining sites in the Shropshire hills. Its always good to be able to use a painting or drawing to highlight the plight of animals in decline. In the case of bats its great to dismiss urban myths about them too.
I added the text using a calligraphy pen at the end . I'd already decided this would be the title but thought it would add a cute addition to the finished piece. I hope you think so too.
