Item details

I saw an old fishing boat near the harbour in Workington. It was patched, mended, painted, painted again - then beached and going nowhere any more. I immediately saw it as a subject for a reduction lino print and photographed it.
It came out quite well, but there was something missing, and the prints lay around for several weeks. Eventually I added the Dock Plant (as a line block), and with some hand-applied brown shadow under the hull it was complete, and has been greatly admired.
