About Hestan Isle Press

Hestan Isle Press

I have a passion for sustainable printing methods which I use to make prints about nature and the things I love

I am Peter and I live in an hundred and fifty year old cottage in rural Scotland. I am lucky enough to have my own studio and print-room where I can observe the natural world as I work.
I learned lino-cutting and printing on an old Columbian hand-press at Art College when I was fourteen but have only just revisited the craft in the last four years.
I have been making and printing small letterpress books and pamphlets using an Adana "eight-five" and a Victorian screw-press. The books are illustrated and the lino prints are a logical addition to my skill set.
