Global climate change has resulted in increasingly severe weather patterns. Droughts, flooding and wild fires are now common occurrences in our mainstream news. The ever increasing carbon emissions are irreversibly warming the planet with potentially devastating consequences on our fragile environment, threatening infrastructure including our homes, schools, hospitals, travel networks, wildlife, forests, crops and ultimately, our existence.
