Full description
This adapted DigniTEA mug features a central bump.
Which works to counter balance the weight of the mug with the thumb. The style handle also helps supports the other fingers. So the mug can be used one handed.
It is made via a mould made from my protected design. It has then been slipcast, finished and fettled by hand and then bisque fired. I then personally glaze each piece myself. They are fired on a 3 pin stilt and you will see the discreet pin marks on the base as featured in the last photograph.
The exact finish will vary due to the nature of hand glazed items. This is a white speckle finish and sometimes there’s lots of speckle and sometimes there’s very little.
Height - approx 10cm
Volume - approx 230ml / 8 1/4 fl oz to the brim
Weight when empty - 185g / 6 1/2 oz
Weight filled to brim - approx 415g / 14 3/4 oz
I only use food safe glazes. Dishwasher safe but glaze clarity maybe effected over time.
Just remember that although safe, dishwashers can be brutal places for pottery. Take care with the extra handles.
