This online shop will be closing on January 4th 2026. Polarstar Pottery is alive and well and will be continuing to sell through local events in the Herts / Beds area. A big thank you to my online Customers, and also thanks to Folksy for making it possible.
A friend asked for a bowl decorated with cow parsley. It is a special plant for her since it had been in her wedding flowers. So I made some with slightly different designs and colouring and she chose the one she liked best. If you would like a ceramic item made especially for you, please message me to discuss commissions. I would love to work with you and your ideas. If the item is not personalised and could be offered for general sale I will make 3 and you choose your favourite.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
This decorative bowl has been press moulded and then trimmed on the wheel to create a foot ring. The cow parsley decoration extends over the circular edge to give an irregular shape, and the design has been created with a mixture of slip trailing and impressions and scratching. A small butterfly and bee rest on the flowers and a caterpillar is crawling up the central stem. Colouring is from iron oxide and white underglaze, against the natural colour of the fired stoneware clay.
This is a decorative bowl and not recommended for food use due to the deeply textured surface. Could be hung on the wall with a plate hanger (not supplied) or held vertically on a stand as shown in the images. Approximately 25cm at widest point.
