This adapted DigniTEA mug features an extra side loop.
This works as a rest on the supporting hand. Or doubles as a pinch hold. It can help with tremors or when you need 2 handles to support the cup whilst drinking.
It is made via a mould made from my protected design. It has then been slipcast, finished and fettled by hand and then bisque fired. I then personally glaze each piece myself. They are fired on a 3 pin stilt and you will see the discreet pin marks on the base as featured in the last photograph.
The exact finish will vary due to the nature of hand glazed items.
Height - approx 10cm
Volume - approx 240ml / 8 1/2 fl oz to the brim
Weight when empty - 183g / 6 1/2 oz
Weight filled to brim - approx 423g / 14 7/8 oz
I only use food safe glazes. Dishwasher safe but glaze clarity maybe effected over time.
Just remember that although safe, dishwashers can be brutal places for pottery. Take care with the extra handles.
