A lovely decorative bible verse plate
A sweet friendship refreshes the soul - Proverbs 27:9
The plate measures approximately 4 inches across and is decorated with a combination of pink and blue glazes - fired to high gloss stoneware. My potters stamp is displayed on the underside.
Commencing with a raw stoneware clay, the plate was shaped and imprinted with letters and pictorial elements ...
... but the journey continues as this is followed by two kiln firings giving the plate it's final appearance.
I have a small studio in Nottinghamshire (my garage in the summer and my conservatory in the winter)!
My kiln and potters wheel are housed in the garage. Pottery is so messy! A great hobby to get into! I have been a potter for over 30 years. My motivation is to produce some great work - lately I have been focussed on faith based and inspirational messages.
