"Wood Grain" is my original linocut print, inspired by the beautiful patterns and textures of nature in the built environment.
As an architect in training, I'm always trying to learn about the most sustainable materials to build with. There are incredible new materials being created from waste, and this image is inspired by 'Bahia Denim': a solid carving material made from Diesel's denim offcuts and bio resin. The way it is made beautifully mimics wood grain while reducing waste, and can be used for furniture.
This print comes unframed on white 225gsm paper, handprinted with black Cranfield traditional relief ink. As such, each print will have slight variations making each one individual.
Wood Grain is an Open Edition print. Everyone should be able to afford original artwork if they wish, which is why I will always create open editions at a lower price point.
UK Postage is free and sent First Class. All my packaging is recyclable card and paper, please recycle if you can!
