Welcome to my shop of unique, handmade, glass enamelled jewellery and ornaments.

POSTAGE My prices include postage by Royal Mail, first-class, signed for.

Where possible I recycle packaging.

I am happy to consider special requests and commissions. Contact me through folksy.

If you experience any difficulty in placing an order please let me know.

As with the bulk of my enamelling, this piece is decorated with a scrolled pattern. This means that I have drawn a steel point through the red-hot enamel to generate the pattern. The whole piece glows red so I have to recall where the different colours may be. The piece is in the kiln and I am working with a crooked tool and only limited space in which to use it. The temperature of the piece starts to fall as soon as I open the kiln door, the material becomes less malleable and will eventually set solid around the steel point., I get away with what I can. I hope you find the results pleasing.

Full description

The storm builds and drags a purple tail across the sky; its head builds to the blade of an axe, yellow and menacing. Or is it a comet embracing a universe?

This 30mm square brooch has a scrolled design in purple shading to yellow on a mottled deep blue and white background.

The brooch is soldered to a 26mm brooch bar that secures with a rotating catch.

Your order will be sent, boxed as shown, by first-class post, tracked.

Designed by Francis Hayes in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire
