Buck Moon is the name for the full moon in July, signifying the time when bucks and stags have fully grown their new antlers. This print completes the triple moon symbol when displayed in between 'Hare Moon' and 'Hunter's Moon'.

Full description
'Buck Moon' is an original linocut print featuring a buck encircled in a wreath of clover, yarrow, foxgloves and rowan. Printed by hand in rich black ink, this linocut celebrates summer and the full moon.
Handprinted on two beautiful papers. Choose from:
Zerkall Off-white - a very smooth 150g paper which contrasts beautifully with the crisp black image. Edges are straight-cut.
Lokta Natural - a warm, natural shade with visible fibres and a more textured surface approx 100g, this paper compliments the nature of the design and the rougher surface creates areas of texture and noise in the print (see photos). Hand torn edges - ideal for float mounting with the edges on display.
Specifications:
Paper size approx 30.5x30.5cm/12x12" for easy framing.
Printed area approx 27x27cm.
Printed on acid free paper using oil based inks.
Each print is numbered, titled and signed by the artist.
Limited edition of 50 prints (Zerkall paper) and 20 prints (Lokta paper).
Hows it's made:
This is an original piece of art (not a digital reproduction), handcrafted from beginning to end. Once the design is carved into the lino, I pull each print individually using traditional hand-burnishing techniques. Due to the variations in pressure and ink, each print is truly unique and may be slightly different from the photographed example.
Please note colours may vary slightly from digital image.
