Handprinted linocuts inspired by British flora and fauna

Hello and welcome to my little corner of the internet. I am an artist and printmaker working mainly in linocut. I love the traditional techniques of printmaking – the whole process is a labour of love, from carving the design, to inking, burnishing and finally revealing a truly unique and original piece of art. I work without a press, printing each piece by hand so each one has its own subtle variations that make printmaking so refreshing in this digital age!

I work in a little studio at the bottom of my garden. My linocuts start life in my sketchbook, often inspired by a creature I met on a walk through the countryside, or something I spotted in my garden. An initial sketch may be reworked a dozen times before it is transferred onto lino.
