I created the texture on these using the traditional technique of reticulation. You can read the full explanation and see the process in my blog from 2022 here : https://wp.me/p57wiR-Jt
but in short, it means I heat, cool and clean the silver a dozen times, before heating it so that the top layer of (now pure ) silver melts.

These necklaces are made through reticulation (a controlled method of melting just the surface) of some sterling silver that started life as at least 1mm thick.
It's great fun to do, takes ages, but the result is that every piece differs. The textures make me think of asteroids and moons

Choose either 16 or 18 inch rope chain at checkout. (Shown with a 16 inch chain)
I’ll be adding more, but currently I have these exact ones available:
Necklace A : 36mm x 11mm
Necklace B : 40mm x 11mm
As with all my pieces, the sheet silver, chain and solder used are certified recycled
These aren't hallmarked, as they are below the threshold of 7.78g which is the legal requirement for Assay here in the UK.
