Joyfully unique eco conscious bag.
This patchwork denim shoulder or cross body bag has been made using 32 individually cut squares of off-cut denim pieces, reducing waste from my other designs.
Each piece of denim has been carefully hand-cut to size before top-stitching and sewing together to make this retro style bag. Using the leftover fabric in this way is time consuming and labour intensive, but by using smaller pieces of denim minimises waste.
The front of the bag has a jeans pocket with a hidden plastic snap fastening and a section of jeans waistband as a closure.
A vibrant pink adjustable cross body strap picks up the colour in the lining of the bag
Inside, the bag is lined with a heavyweight botanical print woven cotton dead-stock fabric. There are two divided slip pockets - one suitable for phone and pens etc and a second which is secured with a plastic snap closure.
For those of us who lose our keys in the bottom of our bag, there's a swivel lobster clasp secured to the inside of the bag with a grosgrain ribbon.
Measurements (approx): depth at centre of bag 34cm, width at widest point 39cm.
Cross body bag strap length adjustable to 145cm, webbing 130cm approx.
The bag comes with an adjustable cross body strap but if you would prefer a shorter shoulder strap strap (adjustable to 81cm, webbing 66cm approx) please choose from the drop down box.
Packaged in tissue for posting.
Waste material in the production of my bags is sent for recycling.
