Jenny inspired me to make this through her regular pilgrimages to the battlefields. I wanted to recognise that dedication and make a tribute to her during her last months fighting cancer. She sadly died at the end of October 2023, so the cost of this piece will be donated to Cancer Research in her memory.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Celebrate remembrance, resilience, and artistry with this handcrafted fused glass suncatcher screen, created in memory of Jenny—a family friend who made regular pilgrimages to the battlefields of Ypres and the Somme. This unique piece is a tribute to her strength and spirit, with 100% of the sale price donated to Cancer Research in her honour.
Combining glass fusion and stained glass painting, this decorative arch features hand-cut coloured art glass fused to a double-layer clear base. The poppy design is hand-painted, then kiln-fired multiple times to create depth, shading, and a luminous finish. The final firing gently curves the glass into a freestanding arch, perfect for displaying on a windowsill, mantel, or shelf.
This piece is not only a beautiful work of art but also a meaningful way to support Macmillan Cancer Support and honour loved ones.
